KENNEWICK 37, KELSO 29: MeiLani McBee scored 14 points and had eight steals as the Lions (1-1) picked up their first win of the season with a road victory over the Hilanders.

Kylee Gibbs led Kelso with 15 points.

Girls Basketball: Lady Lions Drop Opener 68-56

WENATCHEE 68, KENNEWICK 56: Alicia Oatis had 16 points and MeiLani McBee had six steals, but the Lions fell short in their season opener against the Panthers at the Lions Den.

Kennewick trailed 22-7 after the first quarter, but rallied to make it close before Wenatchee hit two 3-pointers to seal the win.

Klarissa Barajas hauled down nine rebounds and scored five points for the Lions.

Wenatchee’s Alli Hallberg led all scorers with 23 points.

KENNEWICK 2, PASCO 2: After the Lions and Bulldogs split their games at Spare Time Lanes, Kennewick won Monday’s MCC contest thanks to an overall advantage of 30 pins over Pasco.

Kennewick’s Marivel Macias rolled a 217 in the first scratch game.
